The 2017 Legend Cup presented by Clean Tools began yesterday at the 55th Annual Chicago World of Wheels with the Billet Specialties Top 20—and as mentioned, that group would be narrowed down to six—the Billet Specialties Select Six—by Saturday. Well, we have that “select” group of contention for your viewing pleasure.

First off, fresh from its recent Detroit Autorama debut and Great 8 finalist honoring for the Ridler Award is Ted and Colleen Hubbard’s absolutely amazing 1930 Model A coupe from Cal Auto Creations. Next is Dennis Johnson’s stunning 1966 Split Ray Corvette, another Great 8 contender as well. And then we have the actual 2017 Detroit Autorama Ridler winner, Nancy and Buddy Jordan’s Renaissance Roadster hand-built by Steve’s Auto Restorations. In stark styling contrast is the other hand-built competitor, the 2017 AMBR—and—2017 World’s Most Beautiful Custom, Bruce Wanta’s 1936 Packard from by Hollywood Hot Rods. Next up is Robert Chinsano’s gorgeous 1963 Corvette split window, done just right with modern styling and performance. And the final Select Six finalist is Chris Colllins 1968 Camaro, Cha-Ching, a classic piece of Detroit muscle beautifully done by Cimtex Rods.

All six finalists will receive a custom Select Six jacket as well as custom-made plaque from Billet Specialties (accompanied by a $1000 gift certificate from the sponsor and plaque maker) at tonights ISCA Grand Championship Award Banquet. Congrats to all, and good luck—tomorrow the field gets narrowed down to the 2017 Legend Cup winner, and we’ll be there as it all goes down!
